On a much brighter and lighter note - it was date-night with Claire, which inadvertently turned into an early bird special, with buffet-style ordering of appetizers, and the best key lime pie I have ever eaten.
I wish I could gush more about this pie and show you pictures of how good it looked but no sooner was it placed in front of us - it was gone. All of the food was sooo delish that there are no pictures of them at all. I guess I will have to show some self control next time.
And then there was this fantastic blue truck, and the miracle that Claire wasn't wearing that color; since she seemed to be wearing almost every other color - like a boss. She almost makes a rainbow when she stands next to it. She seamlessly combines trends like neon and color-blocking - not to mention, her signature tinted tips.
What's your favorite bold color piece of clothing or accessory?

Claire's Hair

Claire cheated on her favorite color mint this past Monday and decided to dye the ends of her hair pink and purple. And yes, she does want you to think that it's like a unicorn or My Little Pony. Better yet,  a hybrid of both.
Having tried "hair chalking" with some of my old pastels and loving it, she decided she wanted something a bit more permanent - and bright!
*
Directions:
Claire started with clean*, dry hair.
She separated her hair into 1/2-1" pieces just as she would to curl them.
She opened both tubs of Manic Panic and stuck her fingers right in the pink (hahaha) and went for her hair around 2-3" up from the bottom, which was darker and needed a bit more dye and time.
Please note: Claire already ombre-dyed her hair so her ends are a bit bleached out, and this is ideal.
She massaged the dye in each of her curls. She wiped off her fingers with a paper towel and went right into the purple without waiting.
She massaged the purple dye under the pink all the way down to the ends of her hair.
She kept blending them until it made sort of an ombre effect.
This is an imperfect process that ends up looking so perfect.
She used her hair dryer to blast the dyed parts, as heat intensifies the color.
She did this for approx. 5 minutes and then left the dye in for another 30 minutes.
Then she took a shower, finally.

What do you think of Claire's hair? What color would you dye your hair?

*clean is such a subjective term, isn't it?
